Talks, Courses and Crafts
Our character barn is a perfect venue for a selection of workshops, exhibitions, talks and training courses on a variety of subjects.
Our character barn is a great backdrop for some fantastic exhibitions celebrating our local countryside and wildlife; from world class photographic exhibitions such as the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition to local artist groups exhibiting textile art, paintings or stained glass.
All exhibitions are held in the Visitor Centre and can be viewed daily from 9.00am to 4.30pm.
Exhibitions are open to craftmakers and designers who produce 2-dimensional work on a wildlife, landscape or countryside theme. Artists are invited to apply to be considered for a slot at any time. Slots are usually between 3 and 6 weeks and are allocated approx 3-6 months in advance.
If you would like to be considered please download and read the exhibition information sheet.
From time to time we offer craft workshops for adults on a countryside theme such as basket weaving and wreath workshops.
A series of informative and relaxed talks from professional speakers, photographers and local experts.
Special training courses for those who would like to become a Volunteer Health or Cycle Ride Leader.
Run during the darker winter months these 4 week courses give participants an introduction to the night sky.
