Moors Valley Golf Course Update

Moors Valley Country Park and all associated facilities, including the Moors Valley Golf Course are closed, until further notice.

The Moors Valley Golf Course Facebook, Twitter and website pages will be kept updated as and when we have further information.

18-Hole Course

This 18-hole course extends along the valley of the Moors River, it covers a total of 6337 yards and includes four par 5s, ten par 4s and four par 3s.  An 11 hole option is also available. Practice nets and a putting green compliment the facilities.

Designed by Hawtree over 30 years ago, the mature course is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all abilities. Each hole has its own character, adding variety and interest within an attractive countryside setting.

The course is situated within the beautiful Moors Valley Country Park and Forest, an attraction for families with 1000 acres of park and forest to explore with Play Trail, adventure play areas, steam train and tree top adventures – great to keep the whole family happy.

Everyone is welcome to play on the Moors Valley golf course and to join the Moors Valley Golf Club who hold competitions for all standards of play.

Pitch and Putt Course and Footgolf

The 5 hole pitch and putt area is also home to a 9 hole footgolf course; perfect for beginner golfers and families. This area is sometimes reserved for adult and junior sessions so please phone to book and check availability. £4 per person.

Free table tennis is also available. Please ask inside the Golf and Activity Centre for the table tennis bats.

Opening Times

The course is open every day of the year (except 25, 26 December and 1 January) weather permitting. Opening times are seasonal.  Standard opening hours are from 8.00am, further details are available on booking.

Golf and Activity Centre

Home to the Council’s Health and Activity Team, visitors are welcome to pop in to find out about local opportunities to help you get active – including community health walks, health cycle rides, accessible cycling, orienteering and exercise referral. Full details of all the activities can be found in the 2020 Activate Coast and Countryside Outdoor Physical Activity Guide.

There is also the chance to enjoy a free game of table tennis. You will find a selection of golf essentials in the shop, alongside equipment for Nordic Walking, yoga and fitness.

Car Park

Your parking will be validated at the Golf Centre when playing the 18-hole golf course. Give your car registration number to the staff in the Golf Shop when you arrive and check in to your tee time. Parking charges do apply if you are playing the pitch and putt course or footgolf
On arrival the park entrance barriers will raise automatically. After the barriers please follow the road to the left signposted to the Golf Course. You will go through a speed control point;  please take care as children crossing. You will find the car park at the end of this drive.
