Adventure Valley – Mini Land Rover Adventure

Open daily from 18 August – 3 September 2023
10am – 5pm (weather dependant)

Let your kids unleash their inner explorer as they navigate through a brand new exciting off-road journey in mini electric Land Rovers. Watch as your children’s faces light up with excitement as they conquer Rumble Road, Bumpy Lane and Seesaw Bridge.

£8 per car for 2 laps of our brand new course. Age 3 – 10 years.

Adventure Valley – 18 hole Adventure Golf

10am – last tee time 4.30pm (weather dependant)

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a first-timer, our Adventure Golf promises an enjoyable experience for everyone. A perfect way to spend quality time with family and friends.

£8 per person, or £30 for a group of 4. Age 4+

Ranger Den

Tuesdays – Fridays throughout August 2023
1pm – 4pm

Come along and visit our Ranger Den, there is so much to see and do. Meet the resident animals, including Harvest Mice, minibeasts from the meadows and Microworld, celebrating everything tiny.

You can find the Ranger Den at the back of the Visitor Centre, opposite the toilets.

The Ranger Den is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. All ages and abilities are welcome.

No need to book, just come along and join in.

Get Hooked On Fishing

22 and 23 August 2023

*All sessions now fully booked*

An introductory taster session for children. Our qualified fishing coach will cover the basics of the sport including setting up a rod, casting and fish welfare. All equipment is provided.

Minimum participant numbers may apply.

Pre-booking is essential.

Moors Valley Railway

Open every day from June – mid September 2023
10:45am until 5:00pm

Enjoy a ride on an authentic steam train around Moors Valley Country Park. The 7 ¼” gauge narrow gauge railway provides a picturesque journey of just over a mile.

Play Trail

Open every day from 8am

Out in the forest, discover the Play Trail with its unique pieces of wooden play equipment.

You can wriggle through giant snakes in the ‘Snake Pit’, attempt the ‘Crocodile Crossing’ and balance on the fallen forest of ‘Timber’. The trail is only a mile long but with so many exciting pieces of play equipment, you should allow at least an hour to complete it all. The trail is suitable for pushchairs and most mobility scooters.

Play Areas

There are two imaginative play areas close to the Visitor Centre.

The Adventure Play Area, designed especially for older children, includes a zip slide, huge space net, climbing boulder, and a fortress of towers and crossings with a long tube slide.

Younger children will be enthralled in the Castle and Sandworks area with its gentle slides and swings, all set inside a safe sand area so don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade too.

Go Ape, Forest Segways and Nets Adventure

The Go Ape Moors Valley team offers five different activities at Moors Valley – three Tree Top courses, Forest Segways, and Nets Adventure.

Music Trail

Discover our lakeside Music Trail. At each station you’ll find a musical or percussion instrument, each beautifully tuned to produce a soft ambient sound.

Accessible for all ages and abilities, play alone or as a group.

No need to book, just turn up.

Zog Trail

Trail packs available to purchase from the Visitor Centre from 9am – 5pm

Join Zog on his latest adventure to collect golden stars as your little dragons learn how they help care for the forest and how the forests can care for them.

Tree Top Trail

Half-Term raised wooden walkway through trees in the forest

Open every day from 8am

Halfway along the Play Trail, there is the option to divert onto the Tree Top Trail. This 5 metre high and 200 metre long wooden walkway takes you up amongst the trees and allows you to get a real bird’s eye view of the forest.

Please note: The Tree Top Trail is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs however, there is a connecting path from start to finish.

Cycle Hire

Open every day from 9.30am

Summer is here so why not make the most of the sunshine and hop on a bike?

We have a large fleet of adults bikes and a good selection of child bikes in various sizes, plus child seats, trailers and tag-a-longs.

Pitch & Putt

The 5 hole pitch and putt area is perfect for beginner golfers and families.

Seasons Restaurant

Open every day throughout the Summer Holidays

  • Monday – Friday – 9am – 5pm (food served from 9am – 4.30pm)
  • Saturday and Sunday – 8:30am – 5:30pm (food served from 9am – 5pm)

Pop in to Seasons and choose from a delicious selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals created using the freshest local ingredients.

Fans of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s popular storybooks will delight in our large range of Gruffalo merchandise, alongside some of the other much-loved characters such as Zog and Stick Man.

We also stock a selection of carefully chosen produce from a range of local suppliers including From Dorset with Love, Filberts, Moores Biscuits, the Dorset Ginger Company and Dorset Tea.
