Snacks and drinks are available from Kingsmere Railway station at times when the train is running and during busy times a small outlet will be open at the front of the Visitor Centre selling take-away hot and cold drinks and snacks.
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink however there are no bins at Moors Valley. Please help us to keep Moors Valley a tidy place for people and a safe place for animals by taking your own picnic rubbish home with you.
Picnic tables are provided by Moors Lake and in the Forest picnic area, and can also be found along the Play Trail and Nature Trail. There are no undercover picnic areas.
Rubbish from food items bought at Moors Valley outlets will be happily accepted by staff.
It is possible to bring your own barbeques to use in the lakeside picnic area or forest picnic area, however due to fire risk we reserve the right to withdraw permission in times of especially dry weather.
All BBQs MUST be on legs at least 30cms high. Stands for small disposable BBQs are available to borrow from the Visitor Centre for a £10 cash deposit per stand. BBQs are not permitted in any other areas of the park or forest.
Please be a respectful BBQer and come prepared to take all your rubbish and ashes away with you as there are no rubbish bins at Moors Valley. Please be particularly careful on windy days that smoke does not bother other visitors and that there is not a risk of sparks setting light to vegetation.
We reserve the right to ban the use of portable BBQs in the future.
Ice cream is available from the kiosk, offering a choice of twelve delicious New Forest flavours along with soft ‘whippy’ and a variety of wrapped products; with prices from just 75p. The kiosk is located to the front of the Visitor Centre on the pathway to the Forest. Payment can only be made in cash at the Ice Cream Kiosk.
Wrapped ice creams are also available at both Kingsmere and Lakeside railway stations when the train is running. Both stations are able to take payment by cash or credit/debit card.
Large groups are invited to pre-order ice creams from either the Railway (01425 471415) or Ice Cream Kiosk (01425 474966).
