Guided Cycle Rides
Adults can choose from a selection of guided rides and tuition sessions depending on their level of ability. These events are run regularly all year round and take place both at Moors Valley and other locations in East Dorset and Christchurch.
Cycling Tuition (for beginners)
One to One Tuition - A course of 3 one to one sessions for adults who have never ridden a bike before or who would like to relearn an old skill.
Get Back in the Saddle - A day course designed to help adults regain their confidence on a bike and get back into cycling. We find you the right size bike and helmet, show you how to use the gears, do some basic bike maintenance and route planning and also take you around the quiet lanes near the Park if you would like to try riding on the road.
Wessex Accessible Cycling Club (WACC) are now based at Moors Valley Country Park and we are pleased to now be able to offer a selection of accessible bikes for people to use. If you have adaptive cycling needs, call the Rangers to arrange an introductory session. Once you have been matched to a suitable cycle you can join in with guided rides each week. These rides will be led by a qualified instructor and are the perfect way for people with adaptive needs to get out and about in the local countryside!
Health Cycle Rides
Led by trained volunteer health cycle leaders these free rides run every week to help you establish a routine, build your confidence on a bike and get back into exercise. There are weekly cycles from Moors Valley, Kingston Lacy, Wimborne and Highcliffe Castle in Christchurch. Subsidised bike hire is available at all of these sites or you can use your own bike.
An opportunity to try the thrill of cycling off-road tracks and trails at night with qualified instructors and the aid of high powered lights.
An exciting sport using a map to navigate the tracks and trails of Moors Valley and the Kingston Lacy Estate by bike to find the control points to add an extra challenge.
