Activites will vary according to the time of year but may include some or all of the following:
Live Minibeasts and Living Pond Display
Get a really close up view of the creatures that live in our wildlife pond as well as some of Moors Valley’s meadow and woodland minibeasts. Will you hold a woodlouse or find a newt?
Use a microscope or hand lens to become a nature detective and identify some real wildlife specimens.
Tracks and Signs
Take a brass rubbing of some animal tracks and take a close look at some real animal poo!
Find a Fossil
Go on a mini dig and see what you can find. Can you identify which specimens are fossils and which ones aren’t?
