An enhancement of ordinary walking using poles to give you a great upper body workout.
Nordic walking makes something we can all do twice as effective.
The use of poles not only helps incorporate the upper body into the workout, it also helps propel the walker along, meaning they work harder than usual but the support from the poles makes it feel easier.
This course runs for 4 consecutive weeks, on the same day and time each week.
Please meet at the Information Point in the Visitor Centre. Booking essential.
Once you have completed the course you will gain a competency card which enables you to attend a Nordic Walking UK accredited session anywhere in the UK, with any instructor. You must attend all the sessions to receive your competency card.
All participants must complete a health questionaire before they take part in their first activity.
For online booking, each participant must have their own individual logon to book their place.
Course 1: Mondays 9, 16, 23 and 30 January; 11.00am to 12.00pm each day
Course 2: Fridays 13, 20,27 January and 3 February; 11.00am to 12.00pm each day
Course 3: Fridays 5, 12, 19 and 26 May; 11.00am to 12.00pm
Course 4: Mondays 4, 11, 18 and 25 September; 11.00am to 12.00pm
Course 5: Monday 8, 15, 22 and 29 January; 11.00am to 12.00pm
Course 6: Fridays 12, 19, 26 January and 2 February; 11.00am to 12.00pm
