An enhancement of ordinary walking using poles to give you a great upper body workout.
Nordic walking makes something we can all do twice as effective.
The use of poles not only helps incorporate the upper body into the workout, it also helps propel the walker along, meaning they work harder than usual but the support from the poles makes it feel easier.
This course runs for 4 consecutive weeks, on the same day and time each week.
Please meet at the Visitor Centre 10mins before the start time of the activity. Booking essential.
Once you have completed the course you will gain a competency card which enables you to attend a Nordic Walking UK accredited session anywhere in the UK, with any instructor. You must attend all the sessions to receive your competency card.
All participants must complete a health questionaire before they take part in their first activity.

Course 2: Fridays 12, 19, 26 January and 2 February; 11am to 12pm
Course 3: Tuesdays 1, 8, 15 and 22 May; 10.30am to 11.30am
Course 4: Mondays 10, 17, 24 September and 1 October; 10.30am to 11.30am
