There will also be lots of extra steam engines on the track.
Children can even have a sit in an engine on the turntable and blow the whistle!
Face painting will be available on Sunday 14 July from 11am.

Entrance to the model railway exhibition is free for visitors with a valid train ticket. Normal fares apply and discounted Day Rover Tickets will be available for unlimited travel on the day of purchase, Adults £9.95, Children £6.95.

Driver for a Fiver
Moors Valley Railway is also offering visitors the opportunity to be a ‘Driver for a Fiver’ and drive a real steam engine as part of the Model Railway Weekend. A £5 donation will entitle budding train drivers to a short instruction period followed by the chance to drive one of the railways steam locomotives along a section of track from Kingsmere Station.  Money raised will go to Devon Air Ambulance and Hampshire Air Ambulance.
‘Driver for a Fiver’ will operate on a first come first served basis on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. Please note minimum age 13 years. For more information call the railway on 01425 471415.
