In partnership with Barclays, this event is a free, fun and practical based session designed to introduce kids to the world of coding and how it can link into our countryside.
Coding is the language that we use to talk to computers and tell them what to do. It drives the software in all devices, but you’ll find it outdoors too, including; under water cameras, nest box sensors and GPS tracking used to monitor animal migration patterns. Learning what makes tech tick could give you a head start in the world of work, but also help you understand how it can be used to benefit nature.
Equipment needed: please bring along an iOS, Android or Windows tablet for this event (not smartphone as these will be too small).
Two children can share one tablet, but for the best experience one each is desired.
There will be some set-up required prior to the event, further information will be emailed prior to the event. Please give a valid email address on booking.
Please meet at the Stables Room (opposite the toilets) 5 mins before the start time of the event. Booking essential.
