Planning your visit

A quick tour of Moors Valley...

At the heart of the park is the Visitor Centre, an 18th century timber barn, which houses Seasons Restaurant, The Country Shop, Cycle Hire Centre and exhibition area.

Just a few minutes walk from the Visitor Centre is the Adventure Play Area for older children and a special Castle and Sand Area for toddlers. From the play areas we cross the picnic area to the picturesque Moors Lake alongside which runs the narrow-gauge steam railway that will take you on a mile long journey through the park.

An 18-hole golf course, meadows, small woodlands and the Crane Lake complete the Park area.

Heading out into the Forest there is the Play Trail with its 8 wooden play structures including the 'Giant Ants' Nest', 'Snakes and Ladders' and the 'Spiders Web'. There is also the opportunity to walk on the Tree Top Trail - a 200 metre wooden walkway through the tops of the trees. For the more adventurous there is the Go Ape! high wire adventure course.

Throughout Moors Valley there are miles of footpaths to enjoy including waymarked walks and cycle trails.

If you cycle or walk to Moors Valley then it's free to enter or there is a maximum daily car parking charge of £8.00 up until the 30th March 2009. Some other charges apply for selected activities.
