Guided walks for adults
Starting in the picturesque village of Woodgreen, this walk takes in quiet lanes, woodland and ppine forest, whilst winding its way past the River Avon and through the Hamlet of Hale. Booking essential. This walk is about 2 hours and will cover between 4 and 5 miles and is suitable for anyone who enjoys fresh air.

Cycle Ride - Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard (Level 1)
Ranger-led cycle rides for adults
We start on quiet lanes towards Bucklers Hard village and then it's all off road to Beaulieu. We head back along one of the south's most stunning rivers for refreshments at the Captains Cabin. This ride is Level 1 (Easy) approximately 4 to 6 miles covering easy terrain for people building their confidence on a bike.

a gentle early morning walk at Moors Valley to listen to the first bird song of the day and celebrate the Dawn Chorus. The best time to hear our native, resident birds and summer visitors is at the beginning of May as they sing to attract a mate, in the hours before sunrise. A light breakfast of hot drinks and pastries will be served at the end.

Back by popular demand! Moors Valley, The Environment Agency and Christchurch Angling Club come together for our second Freshwater Festival. Have a one to one coarse fishing lesson or try some fly casting with qualified coaches. All equipment will be provided and coaching is free. The fishing tuition is bookable on the day at the Christchurch Angling Club Marquee in the picnic area so book early to avoid disappointment. And if maggots and creepy crawlies aren't for you there is pond dipping, a watery quiz trail, face painting and childrens' crafts, plus many Freshwater related stands.

To launch the Moors Valley Singletrack mountain biking route, we are putting on a selection of events aimed at both children and adults, from beginners to more advanced riders. More details nearer the time.
Time Trial - a chance to ride the singletrack as fast as you can!
Instructor-led rides - qualified mountain bike leaders will lead you round the course and give you lots of tips and coaching on riding styles to help you enjoy the singletrack.

An advanced Course for the bravest explorers. Over the week you will learn many wilderness skills from fire lighting techniques, back country cooking, wild foods, archery, fishing, animal tracking, whittling, natural cordage and shelter building. Ride with the Pack - Trail

For the Mountain Bike Adventurer. We will be out all day heading into Moors Valley and possibly into Ringwood North Forest exploring tracks and trails as we go. You will need to bring your own food drink and plenty of stamina.

For the more technical rider. We will meet at the Watchmoor site and spend the day using the North Shore structures and obstacles. With this form of biking a higher element of risk is attached. You must bring your own bike which must be in good working order.

Bikeability Level 2

This three day course takes you onto the road with the traffic where you will gain practical experience in all aspects of road safety and the Highway Code. This will be done in Ashley Heath, close to the Park. Please bring a roadworthy bike of the right size and a helmet and drink. Bike hire available at extra cost. Please note: children must have previously completed Bikeability Level 1.

Postponed from last winter, this walk starts in Fiddleford by the old Manor House and heads out to Okeford Fitzpaine. Most of the terrain is farmland and footpaths. We return via Piddles Wood.

Bikeability - Level 2
Ranger-led cycle rides for adults
'Cycling proficiency for the 21st Century'! As well as being good fun, Bikeability also gives you the skills and confidence to cycle in modern road conditions. In conjunction with Ferndown Leisure Centre this course will be led with National Standard Cycle Instructors and are certified through this National Scheme.
