Self-led visits

Groups and schools are welcome to make self-led visits to Moors Valley and use the facilities as normal.

Popular choices are the Play Trail and play areas, the Moors Valley Railway or the permanent orienteering course in the forest.

Instead of paying for a Ranger you will need to pay for your coach, minibus and/or car parking; this is equivalent to an admission charge for your group. Coaches and minibuses must be booked in advance, please call the Rangers on 01425 470721.

For coaches, the current daily charge is £64.00 during school holidays, which is reduced to £38.00 during Dorset and Hampshire term times. This applies to all vehicles with 21 seats or more.
The daily charge for minibuses with between 13 and 20 seats is £23.00, reducing to £11.50 during term times.
Annual permits for non-commercial minibuses with 13 to 20 seats are available for £55.00.
All prices are valid until 30th March 2012.

Booking procedure for self-led group visits

Once you have decided when you would like to visit and you have booked your coaches / minibuses with your coach operator, phone the Rangers (01425 470721) to book your visit to Moors Valley.
We will complete a group visit booking form with you over the phone and send you a copy in the post. Return the tear-off slip with your payment prior to your visit.
On the day of your visit, take a ticket at the entrance barrier to enter the Park. The Rangers will validate your ticket in the Visitor Centre to enable you to leave.
